October Empties 2019*

Another month gone by, another empties roundup rolls on out!

And this month is a big one!!

I'm not sure how we got through so many products in October to be honest.  Many had been on the go for a long while, but still -- 27 in one month is a lot!  Though to be fair it is two people finishing them up for the most part... That makes it better, right??

This month was just okay in terms of products that could be recycled, with four not being able to go into the blue bin (mainly due to having plastic seals inside of the foil packet -- ugh), but I am slowly getting through the remainder of my plastic packaged items which makes me excited -- one step closer to finally starting fresh on my minimal waste goal.  Of course there will be plastic in my life still... It's near impossible sadly to get away from it.  But I'm hoping to be able to keep this as limited as possible!

In terms of the products themselves, there were a few that I really loved, one I really disliked, and quite a lot that were pretty good.  So let me get down to it!

Enjoyed?: yes
Positives: smells lovely (citrus mixed with warm vanilla), moisturizes but doesn't weigh down hair or make it look oily, more of a micro-boost for hair on a daily basis than a super nourishing punch that lasts all week (but I'm okay with that since I mix in with my shampoo as well sometimes)

Green Beauty and Wellbeing Empties - October 2019

And that was everything we finished using in October!  And for 27 products emptied, I think there was only one I categorically didn't like.  That's pretty good going!

Overall, I would say my favourites were probably the perfumes (from Flaya and Christy Organics), Bodhi & Birch goodies, Nini Organics limited edition oil, Earthwise Beauty serum, and the Niskama scrub.  Of course I am still obsessed with the Mallow + White soaps, Kathleen bubble bath, and TJK conditioner too, but I've already talked so much about those I feel.

My runner ups for favourites?  Definitely the bath salts (especially from Yellow Gorse), Kiss the Moon scrub, and the Alteya floral water.  These were staples for a long while, and I so so so enjoyed them!  As did Tim!

Speaking of, his top picks definitely were the Green People shaving gel and the Bamford and Wolfe scrub -- I've never seen him get through something so quickly!

Have you tried any of our top choices?  I would love to hear your thoughts on the empties we finished this month!  And of course I'm always up for learning about what you finished -- let me know in the comments! xx
