It's that time of month again! Rounding up my natural beauty and wellbeing empties is always a long process, but so rewarding and a great way to keep myself accountable for what I'm using.  Plus, it's so helpful to have a visual diary of what I have tried and what worked/didn't work.

This month Tim and I were away visiting my family in Western New York for four weeks, then spent a few days helping out his mum when we got back -- so we've been on the go for a while!  That means many of the products finished in August are samples or mini sized.  Anyone else travel light when adventuring around??

Altogether there were 22 individual empties, 12 of which were sample sizes (17 if you count the UM wipes!).  Apologies that not all are photographed this time -- I had an ADHD brain moment and before I realized it was too late!

Kimberly Sayer Ultra Light Facial Moisturiser SPF 30 (1.5ml):
Enjoyed?: yes
Positives: thin and not heavy at all, love the spf aspect, uplifting scent,
Negatives: I did end up with a slight sun burn as some of the moisturizer 'melted' off in the heat (definitely keep an eye and keep sunscreen with you!), sachet is only enough for a single use really
Buy again?: I'd need to try another sample to test more thoroughly first

Maison Meunier Purifying Face Mask
Enjoyed?: yes
Positives: gorgeous aroma (sweetly floral, very moreish), so hydrating and refreshing on the skin, rinses really easily, perfect for summer, spreads easily, doesn't clog skin despite the slick creamy feel
Negatives: n/a
Buy again?: already have the full size to finish up!

Enjoyed?: yes
Positives: no sunburn when using, no strong scent, gentle, doesn't break me out, lasts a long time
Negatives: can be a little oily until it fully absorbs, need to massage in if you have dry/mature skin as it can 'catch' in cracks/lines, plastic bottle

Positives: unique aroma, lovely feel on the skin, fab light texture, gentle, helped my congested skin, gorgeous green colour, good for AM or PM

Inner Senses Dream Body Oil 
Enjoyed?: yes
Positives: so calming - eases tension and relaxes mind, aromatherapeutic, gorgeous scent (Marjoram, Lavender & Clary sage), leaves skin feeling so smooth and soft, no heavy at all, great for pre-bed treatment

Positives: smells SO good (like coconut milk and soft vanilla), very gentle and softening, love that it's a powder to milk formula, softening

Ursa Major 4 in 1 Essential Face Wipe (x5):
Enjoyed?: yes
Positives: so effective - genuinely feels like I've cleansed and toned after use, smells so fresh (a little medicinal and woodsy), doesn't dry skin, wipe is compostable, great for travel
Negatives: plastic packet, single use (or 2x if you're me haha)
Buy again?: I love them, but no as the waste is just too much

Positives: lovely texture (creamy but not thick), great for shaving, heady rose scent, rinses well, I like that this doesn't foam

Overall my August was a little less varied than usual, so I used up loads of what I brought with me on my travels.  Most of the skincare I packed I finished, and I even managed to use up a few makeup bits too!  And since I spent most of August away, I ended up liking pretty much everything I emptied - that's a real plus!

Many of the smaller samples were ones I picked up while in the US, and I already have a wishlist for next summer running of things I want to purchase full sizes of (like The Body Deli and Fitglow!).  And as for the UK brands I finished, well I adore Maison Meunier, Inner Senses, PHB and Tisserand, and I will continue to use their other green goodies through the year.
