sustainable tableware from Foogo Green including plastic free bowls plates cutlery and straws

Foogo Green:

I recently was sent a selection of eco friendly goodies to try out from Foogo Green, and I was well impressed by the look, feel, and overall quality of their range.  This ethical brand offers a selection of greener living products that are perfect for picnics and parties.  From bowls and plates to straws and cutlery, Foogo has it all!  Everything is biodegradable and compostable, and they use materials like wheat, areca palm, bamboo, and birch wood.  It's a great way to ditch disposable plastics (though they do still come wrapped in it unfortunately), and I love how unique the concept is.  I mean, I have never seen tableware made from leaves before, have you??  Plus, the range is durable, affordable, and suitable for both hot and cold items.  If you're planning a barbecue or gathering, this is definitely a sustainable business to check out.

Ohelo plastic free reusable bottle in a pastel sky blue sitting on a red and white tablecloth in front of tropical plants

Ohelo:

I have raved about my Ohelo bottle several times both here on The ecoLogical and on social media, but it's time for more love.  This reusable product is not only super cute with the pastel sky blue shade and laser etched swallows swooping across the middle, it's also durable and perfect for all occasions.  The Ohelo bottle is my main drinking container indoors as I can easily keep track of how much water I have (each refill is 500ml), and it also travels with me everywhere.  I take it shopping, on outings, and traveling - it always keeps me hydrated.  And since it holds the cold so well I can trust my water will always be chilled!  I still am meaning to try out their tumbler in future, so maybe that will be a treat when the seasons change.

Green People sustainable skincare One Balm open to show light yellow surface

Green People:

While the Green People range as a whole is not plastic free, the natural beauty brand has developed an innovative product that has got me excited for the future of the business - the One Balm!  With packaging made from by-product sawdust and grass fibers, and a waterless formula that is suited for all skin types, this is a creation that is multi-tasking and great for minimizing waste.  It's the UK's first 100% biodegradable pot and the balm itself contains 99% certified organic ingredients, so it is definitely one that caught my eye.  The blend of soothing myrrh and regenerating pomegranate are lush, and I find it works great to protect and repair the skin.

colourful box of Theenk Tea Evening Delight blend on top of fluffy white cotton with two pyramid tea bags next to it

Theenk Tea

Ever considered having adaptogens in your daily cuppa?  Well, Theenk Tea offer three types of tea full of  beneficial natural ingredients that support brain function and wellbeing.  Morning, afternoon, and night, this wellbeing brand covers the whole day with twelve herbal nootropics, adaptogens, and stimulants in each serving - all without wasteful plastic!  Theenk Tea have biodegradable packaging and the bags can decompose in soil.  They also plant trees in places most effected by deforestation and their main UK supplier donates 50% of profits to education programmes in impoverished regions that grow tea!  I have been drinking the Evening Delight version which is really lovely and designed to help improve sleep, unwind body and mind, and boost relaxation.  Exactly what I want at the end of a long day!

sustainable subscription box full of organic plastic free soaps from Soap Folk

Soap Folk:

You know I adore Soap Folk, so it's no surprise they continue to win my praise with their plastic free goodies.  Their zero waste All Kinds subscription box is especially worth checking out, as this delivery service helps save time, money, and offcuts that would otherwise end up in the bin.  With minimal packaging (just the letterbox friendly cardboard they arrive in, a super cute single paper wrap that can be repurposed, and a recyclable information card) and maximum quality, this is a treat that makes a great gift or a household staple.  I love the surprise every month, as I never know which bars I will get, and they really are handy since they can be used for hands, body, shaving, and more.

Bambaw slate grey bamboo pillow case with a camel cuddly toy lying on top

Bambaw:

Summer gets sticky, so having comfortable and lightweight bedding on hand can be helpful for keeping cool.  We were gifted a set of organic bamboo pillowcases and sheets from Bambaw for our wedding last year, and they have been such a luxurious addition to the bedroom.  I have been a fan of bamboo bedding for many years, as I like that it is allergy friendly, plastic free, and super breathable.  And Bambaw prove once more how fab it is to sleep on an eco friendly alternative.  The fabric is soft and silky, and it's so comfortable that you can't help but cozy up.  Now I just need to delve into the other products in the range - there is a lot to explore with this ethical brand.

plastic free Face It Tea cleansing pads full of herbal teas all in a bundle

Face It Tea

Face It Tea creates natural skincare products, and while the whole range is not plastic free they have some stellar sustainable options to choose from.  I especially have been keen on their facial cleansing pads which are made from 100% vegetable matter.  The plant fibers are biodegradable (decomposing with food waste within 6-8 weeks), and the circles are filled with beneficial herbs like basil, lavender, and calendula.  These 'tea' parcels are perfect for washing away a night's sleep or freshening up after a long day, and I find them super gentle on the skin despite the exfoliating action.  Plus they smell brilliant too!

selection of sustainable swaps for a plastic free summer including bamboo straws biodegradable skincare and zero waste tea

There have been a lot of plastic free products I have been enjoying lately (even more than listed here!), and I am continuing to do my best to choose low waste alternatives.  Greener living is a continuing journey, and I am always finding new ways to improve.  From baking my own sweet treats using items I bought at the refill station in our local shop to picking out sustainably packaged beauty treats when I need a restock.  It all adds up!

And with the eco friendly brands above, these choices are made all the easier.  I love having ethical businesses I can rely on, and while they might not always prioritize plastic free packaging they do make efforts to reduce their footprint in a multitude of ways.  The efforts are appreciated, and I only hope we continue to see growth as time goes on!

But what about you?  Have you found any plastic free products or brands that you have loved this summer?  I would really like to hear about them, so share your experiences in the comments below!  And do let me know if you have tried any of the goodies I mentioned.  Do you have a favourite?  Let me know xx
