Quiet Earth.  Vibrant Earth.  Two natural and organic face masks that are true multi-taskers for the skin.  Inner Senses offers complementary yet opposing formulations, and today I'm taking a closer look at both in a special review!

Inner Senses natural skincare range is one of my long time favourites, and I have talked about them many times before on The ecoLogical.  This multi award-winning British artisan brand of organic beauty and wellbeing products that is aromatherapy based with a holistic approach and apothecary traditions.  They offer a highly conscious and vegan friendly lineup of effective formulations full of passion, skill, and dedication that can be observed in each and every bottle.  Every batch is hand-crafted in the workshop to ensure freshness, but also to keep the therapeutic natures of each ingredient in tact so that the final product can fully capture their beneficial powers that work to boost both beauty and wellbeing.

I've raved about Inner Senses' face masks before, as I truly think their face mask duo is out of this world. Quiet Earth and Vibrant Earth - like Yin and Yang, these two treatments are designed to help you relax, indulge, and nurture your skin.  Each is crafted using high quality clay and beneficial plant based materials, and they come in generously sized miron glass jars that will last you a long time.  But how do you choose which is best for your skin??

Well, that's what I am sharing in this VS review!

Inner Senses Face Masks

"Able to nurture the development of a flower from tiny seed to full bloom, earth in all its forms nourishes the flora (plant life) with an abundance of nutrients sufficient to support life and growth. It is the supreme bearer of energy and facilitator of healthy growth, and this forms the basis of Quiet Earth and Vibrant Earth powder masks."

Vibrant Earth Revitalising Detox Powder Mask:

Star ingredients: glacial marine and rhassoul clay, cacao, blue green algae, activated coconut charcoal, baobab, and more!

Ideal for: skin that needs clarifying, brightening, and healing

This deep, dark fusion of high performance natural ingredients is just what dull or blemish prone skin needs, as the powerhouse works to reset your complexion leaving it smoother, clearer, firmer and more luminous.

Vibrant Earth contains a blend rich in antioxidants, AHAs, and Vitamin C, making for a potent punch that supercharges the formula - seriously, you will notice a visible difference after just a single use!  Skin is super soft, smooth, and has a restored glow to it that you just can't beat.  Over time, the radiance becomes even more pronounced, with your face looking super fresh and revitalized and feeling all the stronger.

The effects are of course brilliant, but the beauty doesn't stop there.  Inner Senses' mask seems to shift colours depending on the light and stage its in, going from dark grey to richly pale green as a powder, and from a stormy seafoam to a lush grassy shade when activated.  Lighting really makes a difference with how this mask looks, and I just find that fascinating.  It reminds me of an overcast day at the seaside, where there are so many possibilities as you look out at the rolling waves, all fueled by your imagination.

While the dark tones may look moody, Vibrant Earth sparks a lot of joy, with an aroma that evolves with each step of the masking process, starting out very bold and ever-present, then developing into something softer when activated.  It is grounding and almost familiar, yet mysterious and intriguing - notes of lavender, vetiver, and frankincense will work to ease tensions and relax your mind in no time.

This is all part of the draw to Vibrant Earth.  It's such a versatile face mask, functioning as a detox treatment while also boosting radiance, regenerating the skin, sorting out spots, brightening, gently exfoliating, and repairing the barrier.  How many masks can boast that level of action??

Quiet Earth Calming Powder Mask:

Star ingredients: glacial marine, rhassoul, and pink clay, white willow bark extract, baobab, cucumber, chamomile, and more!

Ideal for: skin that needs soothing and healing

When your face is calling out for calm, this light fawn toned powder is the answer!  Working to balance, clarify, and calm, this clay based treatment brings new vibrancy to the complexion while also ensuring a mild touch that does not irritate sensitive skin.

A mask that is gentle in every way, Quiet Earth works in synergy to bring calm.  This restorative powder mask contains a union of high performance natural ingredients that soften, smooth, reduce redness and inflammation, and calm breakouts.  It's a gorgeous creation ideal for those with more delicate needs or who experience blemishes frequently.

The sandy coloured mask is ultra fine so no particles catch or over-stimulate the skin, and I find the shade captures the subtle but reliable benefits of Inner Senses' formulation.  When activated with water or hydrosol, the faded shade deepens into something a bit warmer and you can just tell the potent components housed within are beginning to perform their magic.

Quiet Earth has a much softer scent as well, with a hint of comforting flowers and a sharpness that reveals the medicinal properties that combat acne and prevent future pesky spots.  I find the aroma is where the qualities of this face mask really shine through, as you can sense that despite the gentle approach this treatment was crafted to tackle problematic skin and bring a new start.

Inner Senses offers gentle exfoliation with this vegan friendly face mask, as well as anti-inflammatory benefits and a boost to collagen production.  It's a multi-tasker for sure, and perfect for some TLC!  With regular use you will find natural oils more regulated so skin is less shiny and your face will be looking clear, refreshed, and of course calm!

Inner Senses Face Mask duo - Vibrant Earth and Quiet Earth

Both masks are exceptional, and I honestly find each offers noticeable benefits for my fussy congestion prone skin.  I just love how the face masks transform from a powdery lightweight clay to a thick paste as you slowly add water or hydrosol, how smoothly the treatment applies with a mask brush, how the formulas do not dry out my skin, and how both Vibrant Earth and Quiet Earth give such fast results.  I mean, there's so much to appreciate about Inner Senses' creations, it's hard to avoid gushing!

I love both, and incorporate each into my routine regularly, but I do have times where I reach for one over the other.  Yin and yang - by mindfully selecting the formula that my skin needs, I can achieve a balance that leaves my skin feeling very thankful.  When I find my complexion needing a big dose of TLC I go for Vibrant Earth, and when my face needs a gentle approach I pick up Quiet Earth.

Another perk from Inner Senses?? When you finish your mask (or cleanser, body treatment, or face oil!) you can take part in the recycling program!  Just collect five empty jars and bottles, send them back in one package, and get a £10 e-voucher redeemable against future purchases.  While Inner Senses is already 95% plastic free, the FIVE 4 TEN initiative helps reduce waste even further - the brand sterilizes and reuses the packaging, so the overall impact is minimized even more!

If you want to pick up a jar of Quiet Earth or Vibrant Earth, you can do so over on Love Lula or from the Inner Senses shop, and remember if you use code BRYANNA when shopping direct you'll get an extra treat added to your order!  No minimum spend required, and samples range from £3.25 to £10 across the face and body range so this is a great way to trial a blend you are not 100% sure about yet.  Just pop your sample of choice in your cart, click through to checkout, pop the Ambassador code BRYANNA into the "Discount Code" box, and you can try something new free of charge!

  1. These sound amazing! Any tips on mixing this type of mask? I either get them too watery or too grainy and can’t spread them. Maybe it’s the spatula that makes the difference!
