Awareness Organics Rejuvenating Radiant Serum Review

Awareness Organics Review - Rejuvenating Radiant Serum in dropper

You all know how much I love discovering new organic beauty brands, so imagine how ecstatic I was when Awareness Organics approached me to ask if I would be interested in testing out their products.  Of course I said yes after realizing their ethos paired so well with mine, and about a week later the stunning Rejuvenating Radiant Serum and Gua Sha tool arrived at my door!

No matter how I have received a product, whether it has been purchased with my own money, gifted by a brand, been subsidized by a brand, won, gifted by friends/family, or purchased with a gift voucher, my approach is always the same -- honesty, integrity, and highlighting both the good and the bad.  You can find more information on Disclosures and Privacy here.

Awareness Organics is an organic beauty brand based in Macau, and the story behind the brand is just as beautiful as the formulation (which of course I will talk about in a minute!).  Founder Stella was diagnosed with Lupus at age thirteen, and after sixteen years of battling her symptoms with little improvement, she turned to more holistic remedies.  And after this approach led to her body fully healing, she decided to begin crafting her own organic skincare.

A graduate of the esteemed Formula Botanica, Stella has established a special brand with Awareness Organics.  The botanic power of nature has been combined with science in her creations, and the passion for a holistic lifestyle shines through in every aspect, from packaging to charitable donations to ingredients.  Free from known carcinogens, parabens, PEGs, synthetic fragrances and colourings, sulfates, and silicones, and of course cruelty free, this is a brand that you can trust when it comes to being clean and green.

I mean, when Awareness Organics says they produce organic formulations, they aren't messing around -- just look at this ingredients list from the Rejuvenating Radiance Serum!:

Ingredients: Opuntia ficus indica (Prickly Pear) Seed Oil*, Passiflora Edulis (Passionfruit) Seed Oil*, Rosa Moschata (Rosehip) Seed Oil*, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil*, Tocopherols (Vitamin E), Lavandula Angustifolia (Lavender) Oil*, Citrus Bergamia (Bergamot FCF) Oil*, Pelargonium Roseum (Rose Geranium) Oil*,  Jasminum Grandiflorum (Jasmine) Oil, Linalool^, Limonene^, Geraniol^, Citronellol^, Eugenol^, Benzyl  Alcohol^
^Naturally Occurring in Essential Oils

*Certified Organic Ingredients

Another thing to love about Awareness Organics?  They are invested in the environment and the future of the planet:

"As an environmentally conscious company, we do our part to support our planet, all its resources, and beauty. We support coolearth, an organisation dedicated to halting rainforest destruction by working with rainforest communities. For every product we sell, we donate 1% to coolearth to help preserve the living environment for us and our next generations."

I love when a brand encompasses every aspect of an ethical and sustainable path, and Awareness Organics most certainly does.  And they continue to deliver excellence with their beautiful Rejuvenating Radiant Serum.

The serum is 99% certified organic, 100% natural, and totally luxurious.  Plus, you don't have to fret about excess packaging, a huge bonus in today's world where plastic is a growing threat.  The Rejuvenating Radiant Serum comes in a compostable box to protect the miron glass bottle, and the label is printed with nontoxic vegetable inks.  This can be safely planted either indoors or out in your garden and go on to produce new life -- literally!  The packaging is actually seed-paper, a special handmade paper made from post consumer materials (no trees cut down to create this eco-innovation!) that contains seeds that can germinate and sprout once planted.  And guess what -- I tested it out as soon as I had snapped some shots of the products when they arrived, and I have some lovely seedlings growing!

So what about the serum itself?

Well, that's surprised me even more than the wonderful little basil plants I now have thanks to Awareness Organics! The Rejuvenating Radiant Serum is deeply nourishing without being heavy, smells heavenly, and feels so good on the skin.

This powerful wildcrafted combination of botanicals repairs sun damage. And high levels of Linoleic Acid heal the skin from within.  Rich with antioxidants, our ethically-sourced ingredients protect your skin from free radicals and give you a healthier, youthful glow.

The formula is rich and so smooth when you begin to apply that you only need a few drops for a full face treatment.  The serum glides across the skin, instantly calming your senses and soothing irritations.  It absorbs well so it does not feel greasy, though I did find it left my skin a little shiny so for my skin type it was most ideal for evenings for an overnight moisture boost.  Then, when I woke up I would have a new radiance to my complexion.  I have also found if I apply immediately after a shower my skin feels immediately less tight which is such a nice bonus.  When used on Tim (who has dry/mature skin) the blend sinks in fully and gives a lovely natural dewy glow.  His skin drinks up the serum, and because of this he can use it day or night.  But that's something I find great about the Rejuvenating Radiant Serum -- it offers something for every skin type, whether it's combination, dry, oily, or otherwise!

For Tim, it helped smooth and plump out his skin and gave a healthy and revived look, whereas for me it offered radiance, a face soft as silk, and therapeutic qualities much needed during this stressful year.  Jasmine oil is actually great for anxiety and has benefits as an antidepressant, and rose geranium of course is wonderful for relieving stress.  Paired with calming lavender and cleansing bergamot, this is a blend perfectly paired up to offer a grounding and relaxing experience.

The aroma is slightly sweet, heady like wildflowers and golden honey, and then melts into the fragrant delight of jasmine (by far my favourite note in this blend!).  It is very pronounced for the first ten minutes, then softens, and is not noticeable after about thirty minutes or so.  For me this is perfect, as I can massage into my skin before bed, reap the positive effects, then drift away into dreamland soon after.

Awareness Organics Rejuvenating Radiant Serum Review

Overall, I am loving Awareness Organics' Rejuvenating Radiant Serum, and I have found it to be a great addition into my skincare routine.  It helps renew dull and tired skin and achieve a lasting glow that brings so much light and life to your face.  And after the never-ending winter weather we had, this is just what I needed to bring me into spring and this lovely bout of sunshine we're having now.

But wait -- I haven't even really talked about the added surprise that arrived in my parcel from Awareness Organics.  I was so happy when I opened the box and found not only a bottle of the Rejuvenating Radiant Serum, but also a gorgeous gua sha tool!  There are two available from their shop -- a pink one made from rose quartz (a stone known for universal love, and believed to have properties that promote love, healing, and feelings of peace) and a green one made from jade (a stone of healing, protection, and calm wisdom).  I was so pleased to receive the jade option, as that's exactly the energy I need in my life at the moment.

Green jade helps foster a desire to slow down and appreciate the little things and daily moments, and with all the stress surrounding my PhD (along with other things going on behind the scenes), this was the perfect match for me.  I had heard so much about gua sha, and having a chance to test it out for myself was so exciting!

Gua sha is a traditional therapeutic method renowned for the relief of pain, promoting cellular repair and stimulating the flow of oxygenated blood to nourish and revive skin.

The method is meant to help ease tension in the face, reduce anxiety and stress, provide time for self-love, and promote feelings of wellbeing, and of course I am all about that.  Other benefits are even more visible and immediately tangible, as practicing gua sha is meant to improve circulation which helps with skin tone, reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce puffiness, define the jawline, and promote lymphatic drainage which in turn helps eliminate toxins.  Sounds great, right??

I admit I haven't 100% got the hang of the movements yet, but I have been watching many a video on Youtube and on Instagram to try to improve and learn how to better my attempts.  Any tips from you lovelies would be greatly appreciated too of course!!

Do any of you beauties use a gua sha tool??  I would love to hear about your experience and if you have noticed any differences in your skin since starting to incorporate the tool into your skincare routine.  Let me know in the comments!

If you are interested in Awareness Organics, be sure to give them a follow on Instagram -- you can read more about Stella's story here, and of course keep up to date with everything going on with Awareness Organics by following their account.  And of course you can always pick up a bottle of the Rejuvenating Radiant Serum to experience the beauty of this skin glow treatment for yourself.  I'm certain you'll find yourself falling just as hard for it as I did! xx
