Having luscious lashes is every makeup lover's dream, and thanks to CertClean and the Clean Beauty Awards, achieving this goal has never been easier.  This year I was lucky enough to test out a selection of mascara and lash product entries, and today I'll be sharing my thoughts on these beauties.

From the perfect wand to long lasting colour, there was a little bit of everything in the five clean beauty entries in the lash category I helped judge.  It was exciting seeing how each one performed, and after a lot of wear, I'm ready to reveal my experience...  I hope you enjoy and find something new just like I did!

Carolina Cosmetics Organic & Plant Based Mascara

Gentle on the eyes and the perfect shade of black, this organic mascara is not only packed with conditioning and strengthening ingredients like Arabic coffee and sunflower seed oil, it is also in a smaller tube making it easy to carry around.  This formula helps repair lashes while also giving a nice natural boost to your appearance. It's not a 'stay all day' formula, especially if you have watery eyes, but it looks lovely while it lasts. It can clump up or smudge a bit, so you need to take your time with applying. However, I like how it makes my lashes look fuller, and it doubles as a strengthening treatment which is a big plus! For a quick trip out, this is a great pick.

Eleve Cosmetics Lash After Party

Eleve have certainly created a party for your lashes! The Lash After Party natural formula works to lengthen, define, and fill out your lashes and it looks beautiful when applied. I love the volume I can get with this, and I was surprised that all it took was one coat. Plus, it's super gentle on your eyes - no irritation or itching!  The hypoallergenic ingredients and gentle ingredients make this a stand out mascara for me, and I could see it becoming a staple in my routine.  It lasts all day, doesn't crumble or smudge, and looks beautiful dressed up or down, so of course it is a real favourite of mine.

Birch Babe Mascara

"Our top seller for a reason, this mascara is crafted with certified all natural ingredients to help strengthen and lengthen lashes over time. Goes on creamy and lasts without smudging!"

Plastic free mascara for the win?! Birch Babe has crafted a cake mascara that is really stunning and has incredible staying power. It lasts all day, doesn't budge once applied, and the 70% organic formulation is even fairly water resistant too which surprised me. There is definitely a learning curve, and the edges of the pan can be a bit tricky to reach, but the application process isn't all that difficult and the product transfers to lashes so smoothly. I love how gentle it is on my eyes, and adore the definition I get with this. And the fact that I can reuse the high quality brush again and again is so cool!

Winky Lux Extravalash Mascara

"Save the drama for your mama—and your lashes—with Winky Lux ExtravaLash Mascara. Equipped with a unique silicone ball tip brush, this bold black mascara defines, curls and lifts lashes for extreme fullness and explosive drama. While the brush works its magic, ingredients like B5 and cornflower water soothe and deliver texture from root to tip. The long-wear formula won’t clump or flake, because drama may come and go, but bold lashes are here to stay."

If you want exceptional control, this could be the mascara for you. The wand is flexible and has a silicone brush that lets you reach even the hardest to reach spots so you cover each and every lash. It gives a dramatic look that rivals falsies, and stays put so you don't have to worry about smudges during the day. Unfortunately I did find it left my eyes feeling itchy so it wasn't for me in the end, but oh how I adore the ease of application!

Nuez Acres Pecan Lash Serum

Not a mascara, but essential all the same!  Growing out your lashes and caring for your brows has never been easier thanks to this super serum from Nuez Acres. It's so simple to apply, as you just sweep it across your lashes or hair and let it work its magic! It's really gentle, fragrance free, and lightweight so you do not have to worry about any breakouts, plus it is a solid multi-tasker meaning you save money in the long run. This is something you need to keep up with, so don't expect results immediately. I also did find there is a bit of trial and error with figuring out how much to apply, but overall it's easy to use and offers a nice bit of TLC for those overlooked features. It's a great way to get your lashes longer and stronger and your brows on fleek.
