No matter how I have received a product, whether it has been purchased with my own money, gifted by a brand, been subsidized by a brand, won, gifted by friends/family, or purchased with a gift voucher, my approach is always the same -- honesty, integrity, and highlighting both the good and the bad. You can find more information on Disclosures and Privacy here.

Not only did the Love Lula website get a total overhaul, but it seems they have a lot more in terms of surprises coming our way.  The monthly beauty box is just one such treat -- with a selection of products from the online shop, this subscription has brought new discoveries for many years now.  However, they recently announced that they decided to conclude this chapter of the Love Lula life...  But don't worry!  The beauty boxes are not fully gone -- these collections will be available to purchase individually from the shop.  They hint that more tailored and curated boxes are in the future, so I can't wait to see what they will be like.

Rolling subscriptions will continue until May, so we get to have a little bit more fun with the monthly surprises until then.  And the March box was the latest drop.  This contains six ethical goodies from four different brands that can be purchased from Love Lula: Ayumi, Balm Balm, Soul Tree, and Madara.  Many of these names will be familiar to long time subscribers, making it feel like a 'welcome home' edit in a sense.  Plus, the variety of treatments within the box is fab.  You will find everything you need to care for your hair and face, and it works great as a full simple routine.

So let's check out this month's collection and take a closer look at each product to see what Love Lula has to share with subscribers in March!

Ayumi Bio Active Growth Hair Oil

Hair oil is a great product to have on hand, as it offers much needed moisture to hair plus can double as a styling treatment that tames frizz and fly aways.  The Ayumi hair oil has been specially blended to promote hair growth which is something I have been in need of the last handful of years.  With a blend rich in antioxidants and vitamins, this treatment is built to strengthen brittle locks, boost circulation to help stimulate growth, and improve lustre.  It does contain coconut oil though, so this will be a product I gift on as my scalp cannot handle this ingredient (breakout city for me unfortunately!).  However, I know whoever ends up using this will adore the fragrant oil and the moisture and protection it adds.

Ingredients: Sesamum Indicum (Sesame)Oil, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Almond) Oil, Cocos Nucifera (Organic Coconut )Oil, Ricinus Communis (Castor)Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Oil, Amyris Balsamifera Oil, Canarium luzonicum (Elemi) Oil, Cedrus Deodora (Cedarwood Himalayan)Oil, Helianthus Annuus Seed (Sunflower) Oil, Cinnamomum Zeylanicum (Cinnamon) Oil, Daucus carota Sativa Seed (Carrot) Oil, Centella asiatica (Brahmi) Extract, Eclipta Alba (Bhringraj) Extract, Phyllanthus Emblica (Amla) Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis Leaf Extract, Sapindus Mukurossi (Aritha) Extract, Trigonella Foenum Graecum (Fenugreek) Extract, Acacia Concinna (Shikakai) Extract, Santalum Album (Sandalwood) Oil, Cinnamyl Alcohol , Cinnamal, Coumarin, Eugenol, Geraniol, Benzyl Benzoate, Farnesol, Limonene, Linalool We use no mineral oils within our products.

Ayumi Argan & Sandalwood Shampoo and Conditioner

This cute little duo is ideal for trialing the shampoo and conditioner from Ayumi or for taking away on a little holiday.  In fact, it came at the perfect time since that is exactly what I plan to do with it!  The shampoo has been designed for weak and thin hair which fits my hair type exactly.  The formula aims to calm the scalp while stimulating hair growth thanks to the combination of amla, bhringrai, ylang ylang, and lavender.  It also adds a bit of nourishment thanks to the power of argan oil!  The conditioner pairs well with it, as this has been created for thinning hair and works to add fullness and body to your locks.  Traditional Indian botanicals like aritha and shikaki help add shine and a layer of protection while nurturing oils like coconut and pumpkin replenish delicate strands.  Both smell fab, and I'm curious to see how my hair fairs with this duo!

Madara Micellar Water

I'm a long time Madara fan, so I was happy to find a mini bottle of their Micellar Water inside the March Love Lula box.  This skincare treatment is an all-in-one product created to clean, balance and soothe your face.  With moisturising aloe vera, hydrating hyaluronic acid, and calming peony, this clear liquid is a multi-tasker that claims to tackle it all in one simple step.  It is even meant to be able to remove makeup!  I like that it doesn't have a strong scent, and it is pretty gentle on the skin too.  This is another fab addition for those going away for a little break, and I will be sure to pack this for my holiday next week.

Ingredients: Aloe Barbadensis Rosa Damascena Hamamelis Virginiana Glycerin Benzyl Alcohol Sodium PCA Potassium Sorbate Lactic Acid Aroma Sodium Hyaluronate Paeonia Lactiflora (Peony) Root Extract Caprylic/Capric Glucoside Xylitylglucoside Propanediol Anhydroxylitol Xylitol Phragmites Communis Extract Poria Cocos Extract Rhamnose Glucose Glucuronic Acid

Soul Tree Mascara in Pure Black

A great mascara is a good thing to have, so I'm excited to try out this ayurvedic formula from SoulTree.  I have eyed up their makeup range before, and I was thrilled to find this exact product in the March box from Love Lula.  Not only is it free from silicones and phenoxyethonal (both of which are deal breakers for me), it also promises to give a clump free experience!  And with the additional benefits from replenishing oils like castor and black seed, this mascara works to strengthen and nourish while also lengthening your lashes.  I'm excited to see how I get on with this product, and have my fingers crossed it is as good as it sounds!
