Dafna's Skincare Moisturiser Review

Dafna's Skincare has been a long term favourite of mine, and for good reason.  This Spanish beauty brand values honesty, responsibility, passion, and effectiveness.  They have been recognized for their efforts and won loads of awards, plus they have repeatedly impressed me with their delicate textures and gentle formulations.

I also find their belief in going beyond skin deep resonates strongly with me.  They proudly state that all of their products "undergo Ayurvedic philosophy: (Ayur’ = life, Veda=knowledge), the body and mind are directly related and we believe in the power of the mind to transform and heal the body."  I love a holistic approach, and immediately connected with the ethos.

But what about their skincare?  Is it worth the hype and the price tag?

In short, yes!  Everything I have tried from this range has been effective, and the products don't make any promises they cannot keep.  I've especially enjoyed their moisturizing and hydrating creations, which is why today's review will be focusing on three special treatments...

Today I'm sharing a little comparison review of the three moisturizers Dafna's Skincare offers, and taking a closer peek at what each formula provides.  From hydration to aromatherapeutic benefits, you'll find a bit of everything in these vegan goodies - just take a look!

Dafna's Skincare Nutrition Night Treatment:

"Mature skin tends to lose elasticity and become dehydrated. While years go by, the natural production of collagen and hyaluronic acid is significantly reduced. The anti aging natural night treatment nutrition, works with the regeneration of skin cells with its biotechnology TensUp TM that helps our skin look smoother, while luminous and hydrated. Telva magazine describes the anti aging natural night treatment nutrition as the night cream with a «good face» effect."

With a gorgeous box, classic black pot, and eco luxe formula, it's not surprise that Dafna's Nutrition cream won me over quickly.  Not only is this a treatment ideal for all skin types (including my fussy congestion prone face!), it offers an exceptional balance of both hydration and moisture.  The moisturizer has a deceptively lightweight formula, transforming into a fast absorbing consistency once applied, and it is a total dream to use.

And with such a moreish scent you can't help but love incorporating the cream into your skincare ritual.  Soft, aromatic, and calming, with floral notes and a delicate hit of sweetness, this captures the gentle qualities of the moisturizer perfectly.  It's great day or night, and I especially found it helpful after a shower as the blend of antioxidants, probiotics, and naturally soothing ingredients work to reduce redness and ease itchy and tight sensations.

The Nutrition Night Treatment sorts out flaky patches pretty much overnight, and as it is not greasy or slick it's super comfortable on the skin.  This is a cream that provides a plumping, restorative, calming boost of nourishment that will leave your skin more radiant, smooth, and healthier than ever before.

Dafna's Skincare Moisture Plus:

"fights free radicals and brings to the skin that freshness and juiciness, which is usually lost over time. It includes 19 active ingredients, such as low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, to work hydration to the deepest levels of the skin. Also works with antioxidant agents that protect us from free radicals and their effects. Each ingredient has been carefully selected to provide an advanced solution to all the factors of aging and dehydration of our skin."

With the high quality natural ingredients I have come to expect and the sleek classic aesthetic I love so much, this moisturizer is definitely another one that screams high end.  The cream is incredibly smooth, and has a lovely aroma that inspires peaceful thoughts thanks to the notes of lavender and grounding herbal undertones.  While Moisture Plus is rich, the texture is not not too heavy or oily and it played well with my congestion prone face.  Plus, it doesn't leave a white sheen on the skin - win!

This vegan treatment leaves everything feeling so soft and totally quenched making it a great pick for dry and mature skin types in particular.  Moisture Plus does leave a light residue which isn't always my favourite, but it isn't unpleasant.  It's not sticky or greasy, but it gives a slight tacky feeling to face.  Because of this, I find it more ideal for evenings than daytime.  However, the barrier does offer additional protection against bad weather and dry air.

And while not as balancing in terms of hydration and moisture as the other cream, Dafna's formula offers a big boost that tackles dry and flaky skin.  This is one that leaves your face feeling conditioned and helps skin become calmer, renewed, healthy and plump.

Dafna's Skincare Moisture Plus Light:

"One of the main things that comes with skin-aging processes is the lack of hydration (lack of water). It happens regardless of your skin type (even oily and combination skin suffer from the lost of hydration). Moisture+ light formula is designed to help on hydration without leaving the skin oily and greasy! Moisture light is more than just hydration crema. It has aroma-therapeutic properties of bio essential oils, plant extracts and the most advanced biotechnology to also nourish and fight the aging signs of the skin."

The very first product from Dafna's Skincare that I tried was the Moisture Plus Light formula, and it really set up my high hopes for this natural beauty brand.  This cream is calming and lightweight, with an almost serum-like consistency that is perfect for oily and congestion prone skin types in particular.  It also makes a great summer essential!

This treatment utilizes the power of argan oil, hyaluronic acid, calendula, fig, and more to hydrate and regenerate the delicate facial skin.  The cream absorbs pretty quickly, and it is not greasy at all so it's fab for day wear when you will be on the go and don't want to appear shiny.

Moisture Plus Light has a revitalizing fusion of ingredients which renew radiance, restore the skin so it is soft and smooth, and reduce sensitivities.  And with the lovely aroma that fuses uplifting neroli and focusing rosemary, the essential oils work to energize, relieve anxiety, and raise your spirits before you even start to massage the moisturizer onto your face!

Have you tried Dafna's Skincare yet?  I would love to know which products are your favourite.  And if you haven't, which moisturizer do you think would be best suited for you?

Personally, I find that Nutrition is great for those needing instant TLC and anyone with dry, dehydrated, mature, or damaged skin.  Moisture Plus is excellent for those looking for a rich and nourishing cream, especially anyone with really dry skin or fine lines and wrinkles that they want to target.  And for those with younger skin or combination, congestion prone, or normal types, the more serum-like formula of Moisture Plus Light will be the best choice.

However, like with all Dafna's Skincare goodies, you can really mix and match to meet your needs.  I personally adore Nutrition despite not having any real need for a boost of elasticity yet.  I just find it soothes my skin and makes it feel and look fantastic, and so I reach for it when I am needing a boost.  It's all just a matter of personal preference and about reading your skin!

But what do you think?  I would love to hear from you, so leave your ideas in the comments below xx
