Did you know Meadow Skincare has a new product out??  Their Vitamin-Rich Botanical Day Oil dropped in October, and in just a month they quickly became one of the stars in the range for me.  And today I'm here to share all!

If you do keep up with me on Instagram, you actually would have been THE FIRST to hear about the launch of the Vitamin-Rich Botanical Day Oil, as Meadow Skincare was kind enough to let me reveal the big news.  I am so grateful for the trust they put in me, and I do hope I did the product justice on the big day!

So what is this new oil?  Well, it's actually a few things: a natural retinol alternative for sensitive skin, a smoothing and brightening treatment, a product that targets fine lines, sun damage, and hyperpigmentation...  And that's just the promises on the label!

I was sent a bottle of Vitamin-Rich Botanical Day Oil to begin testing before it was available for sale, and right from the start I was nothing but impressed.  This is an oil rich in nutrients yet not at all heavy on the skin, and it contains a host of potent but gentle ingredients that have been expertly blended to provide a glow boost as well as a healing touch.  With cold-pressed upcycled raspberry seed oil along with blackcurrent, milk thistle, Vitamin E, cacay, rosehip, pomegranate, 1% Bakuchiol (a retinol alternative that is less irritating to the skin), and an antiseptic trio of essential oils, Meadow's natural day oil is certainly a gorgeous treat for your face!

When you first twist open the cap, you will be greeted by a deep warm golden shade that glistens within the glass dropper.  It has such comforting undertones to it, and an almost bronzed look that makes this stand out while still being incredibly inviting.  I adore the colour, and find it captures the essence of Meadow Skincare's product so perfectly.  You can tell this is an intensive creation, but that it is also going to be soothing, restorative, and nurturing.

As for the scent, well, this is definitely a delicate one that works to ease your mind and eliminate negative energy.  The blend of uplifting sweet orange, relaxing petitgrain, and calming marjoram all merge together into a soft earthy aroma that transforms into something more herbal with tangy notes beneath the surface when massaged into the skin.  It's a smell that helps ground your body and mind, and one that I have grown very fond of.

The oil itself is so lush, with a silky smooth texture that glides easily across the face meaning you only need to use a few drops.  I actually find two is more than enough for my skin type, and I lightly apply across my forehead, cheeks, nose, chin, and down onto my neck.  And if I am ever feeling like I need extra moisture (which for me personally doesn't happen too often even with central heating since my skin isn't prone to being dry), this pairs really well with another Meadow Skincare staple - the Hydration Boost Moisturising Balm.  Just layer a small amount of the balm on top of this stunning oil and any flaky sore patches should be gone in no time!

The Vitamin-Rich Botanical Day Oil is ideal for those seeking to revitalize dull or dehydrated skin, but also anyone who is looking to restore balance, protect against environmental damage, or minimize the number of products in their routine.  This is such a wonderful grab and go creation, as it absorbs pretty quickly, doesn't leave any greasy residue, and truly targets a variety of skin concerns all in one bottle.  I find there isn't as big a need to reach for other treatments and I can save time since Meadow Skincare addresses all my needs for a morning application.  And if I do ever want to layer products, I find this formula actually works great as a booster serum!

I've definitely noticed a restored look to my complexion, with a natural glow and smoother skin just being the tip of the iceberg.  My face is so soft, and I love how this balances everything and keeps my skin from drying out during these cold windy days.  Plus, it works wonders for my mind in the mornings, leaving me calmer and ready to take on the world.  

With just eleven ingredients, the day oil definitely ticks all the boxes for me.  It's suitable for any skin type, doesn't cause my face any irritation or breakouts, smells and feels great, utilizes a zero waste ingredient, and delivers on the promises it makes on the label.  This is brilliant for the cold months, but I anticipate it being a fab part of a summer ritual as well since it is so lightweight.  All seasons, all skin - that's what the Vitamin-Rich Botanical Day Oil provides for!
