Rahua Conditioner Review - The Snapshot Series *

I've raved about Rahua before a few times, but today I want to focus in on one of my absolute favourites - the conditioner line!  This has saved my hair time and again, and I view it as a holy grail product that is a true star.  So it's time to feature this beauty today in The Snapshot Series...

No matter how I have received a product, whether it has been purchased with my own money, gifted by a brand, been subsidized by a brand, won, gifted by friends/family, or purchased with a gift voucher, my approach is always the same -- honesty, integrity, and highlighting both the good and the bad.  You can find more information on Disclosures and Privacy here.

The Brand:

"Strengthening, balancing and repairing, beautifully fragranced and free from harsh chemicals and preservatives, Rahua products deliver high-performance results thanks to their ingredient list which reads like a botanical who's who! The key to Rahua’s outstanding performance is the Omega 9-rich rahua nut oil (pronounced ‘ra-wa’, and short for ‘Ungurahua’) which comes from the same botanical family as frankincense and which has a mood-calming effect."

Rahua is vegan friendly beauty brand who focus largely on haircare but also offer a lovely range of eco-luxury skincare treatments.  You'll find shampoos, conditioners, multi-purpose oils, washes, lotions, perfumes, and more - all of which are natural, cruelty free, and made with high performance results in mind.  The award-winning formulas are inspired by the Amazon and utilize powerhouse ingredients from the rainforest (without risking this precious environment's future!), plus Rahua is always working to minimize their impact.

The brand contributes to environmentalist causes such as Ecoagents plus collaborate on initiatives like The Pink Flamingo Project, "a continuous environmental clean-up effort working with locals to clean natural habitat areas of the pink flamingos and other endemic species in the Galapagos Islands."  And their latest drive is to reduce plastics by offering refills of their top selling products -  I love when activism is a key part of a business as it shows commitment from all sides!

The Product: Conditioner (£34-38/275ml):

I've had a lot of struggles with my hair the last few years as stress has taken a toll.  From massive fallout to severe thinning, I had broken, dry, patchy locks that just were not thriving.  I started experimenting with different treatments, products, vitamins...  And while nothing is a 'miracle' worker, the Rahua conditioners really made a noticeable difference and I have not been without them since.

There are four conditioners in the Rahua range: Classic, Voluminous, Hydration, and Color Full.  Each has its own benefits, but they are exceptional creations that will leave your hair feeling softer, looking smoother, and healthier overall.  All use the precious Rahua oil to protect and strengthen, so if you are worried about weak or dull looking strands then the conditioners are definitely a product to check out.

Rahua Classic Conditioner:
Star Ingredients: Rahua oil, palo santo, quinoa, raspberry leaf, green tea, aloe
Smell: meditative and calming, strong notes of palo santo, light creaminess
Benefits: all-rounder - detangles, strengthens, soften and shine, tame frizz, styling
Best For: all hair types

Rahua Voluminous Conditioner:
Star Ingredients: Rahua oil, lavender, eucalyptus, aloe, green tea, lemongrass, rosemary
Smell: herbal, calming, balance of sweet lavender and bright lemongrass
Benefits: silky, full texture, body and bounce, co-washing, strengthens
Best For: fine and/or oily hair

Rahua Hydration Conditioner:
Star Ingredients: Rahua oil, morete oil, sacha inchi, mango sugars
Smell: semi-sweet, trying to capture tropical fruits
Benefits: replenish, detangles, strengthens, smooths, prevent frizz, soften and shine
Best For: dry hair

Rahua Color Full Conditioner
Star Ingredients: Rahua oil, morete, lilac clay, gardenia flower
Smell: I have not tried this myself as I don't have colour treated hair, so I can't comment on aroma!
Benefits: prevent fading, protect colour, nourish, strengthen, soften and shine, detangles
Best For: colour treated hair

The star for me has to be a tie between the Classic and the Hydration formulas.  I adore the scent of the original formulation and find it so special - it's an experience for both my hair and my senses!  However, when it comes to texture I always find myself blown away by Hydration as it is just so smooth and delicate, and it really works to heal my sad sad hair.  I go back and forth between the two depending on my needs, and even picked up a refill pouch of the Classic recently so I could get my fix of the palo santo goodness!

If you're looking for more in depth details about any of the above, you can pop over to my full guide where I share my full thoughts and talk about the results of each conditioner as well as their partner shampoo.  Spoiler alert - they all are high performance products, and you might just be tempted to try a selection!
