Nordic Roots is the latest launch from Green People, and is a range that offers four stellar products that is inspired by Scandinavian simplicity, purity, and functionality. You'll find a micellar water, serum, moisturizer, and oil, all of which are vegan friendly. Utilizing sustainably sourced powerful plant actives like Atlantic seaweed and apple complex as well as long standing skincare heroes like hyaluronic acid, all the formulations in this line are crafted to offer a gentle fragrance free experience that everyone can enjoy. Plus, they are making their packaging even more eco friendly by harnessing compostable grass fibre in their boxes!
With just four formulas, you have all you need to keep your skin happy - and I was lucky enough to be sent two of them to test out!

I have to admit, micellar waters are not my cup of tea usually. I just don't get them, and I find they try to do too much and never perform that well. But my interest was piqued with the Green People Cranberry Micellar Foam, as it promised a gentle experience while also providing results.
While many foaming formulations contain drying alcohols to get that squeaky clean feel, Green People skip this potential irritant entirely to ensure the product is as soothing as possible for as many skin types as possible! Instead, the Nordic Roots foam is rich in free-radical fighting antioxidants thanks to the namesake cranberry extract, as well as probiotics which help maintain and protect the skin's microbiome. And you'll be happy to find an extra dose of hydration hidden within as well, with apple cellular complex (an ingredient that aids in boosting skin elasticity), coconut extract, and glycerin. Now this is a blend I can get behind!
This is by far the kindest foaming wash I have tried, and I truly appreciate how the care that has gone into making this such a calming treatment for the face. I don't have to fret about redness, breakouts, or sensitivity - I can just enjoy the experience and know that what I am applying is gentle enough to use daily. And with how simple it is to use, that makes it all the better!
The Cranberry Micellar Foam is pumped out of the bottle with an single push, and it always gives the ideal amount. The texture is so dreamy, like a light cloud fully of airy bubbles, and it makes for a fun morning ritual - it really reminds me of childhood when I would play with foam in the tub! And like that memory, this product melts into a liquid quickly once it is applied to the skin. It transforms into a thin water-like substance that works to lift away make-up and impurities without disrupting the skin's natural pH-balance.
While I don't find this fully eliminates tougher to clean things like mascara or lipstick, it does assist in beginning the process and with a soft cloth you can get most of it off. However, if you know you're one for a full face of makeup on the regular, you might want to pair this with an oil cleanser in evenings and follow up with the Cranberry Micellar Foam to ensure everything is removed when you go in with the second cleanse. Or, if you're like me and like a quick and effective morning ritual, this is perfect as it leaves your face feeling super fresh and calm - the best way to start the day!

I was immediately impressed by the sleek and crisp aesthetic of Green People's serum, and the glass bottle really adds a sense of eco-luxury. It's just so sturdy and looks beautiful on the shelf! And the formula within is even more stunning - this definitely is not your average hyaluronic acid product, as it contains a unique blend of sugar beets, hop flowers, squalane, probiotics, and of course HA.
The ingredients work to provide an intensely hydrating experience for the skin, all without the addition of essential oils or other potential irritants. This is a soothing serum, designed to revitalize the complexion, reduce the appearance of fine lines, protect the barriers, target hyperpigmentation, and restore radiance with the help of the Nordic actives within. With regular use, you'll find your face looking and feeling more firm, smooth, and revitalized, and your skin will no longer be thirsty thanks to the Hyaluronic Booster Serum.
Green People really has crafted something special, and I can't help but find myself entranced by just how silky the texture of this treatment is. I love how it glides across the skin with ease, and how it absorbs almost instantly so I am not left with any wetness or residue after applying. The milky white serum has almost an iridescent quality to it which is gorgeous, but as soon as you begin to massage the product in the colour disappears and transforms into a transparent finish that adds a healthy glow to your face.
Plus, it actually blends beautifully with other products, so if you are in a rush or just want the convenience of a single application you can just add a few drops to your regular moisturizer or oil and use as normal. I personally prefer the Nordic Roots Hyaluronic Booster Serum as its own star, but having the option available is nice!
All in all this might just be my new favourite Green People product of all time - it's seriously perfect, and has definitely been saving my skin now that the central heating is on. Usually my face starts to peel a bit around my nose and chin this time of year and I have to start applying balms or heavier creams more regularly. However, that is always a risk for me as my skin is on the sensitive side and quick to break out. Having this ultra-lightweight and super gentle formula I can turn to and rely on is a huge help, and I'm super grateful to have discovered it!

I have to say I have been super impressed by this range, and I am already antsy to try the other two products from the Nordic Roots line. I love how gentle both formulations are, and how they are ideal for both morning and night - these are true staples that can serve you throughout the year, and I like how they are totally fragrance free as well as lightweight. Neither clogs your skin, and both work to add hydration while delivering on their promises.
