Lippy Love - Favourite All Natural Lip Products

Lipstick, lipgloss, liptint... You name it, I've probably tried it!  So today I'm sharing some of my current favs when it comes to clean lippy, and explaining why these six green goodies are such strong contenders.  And hopefully I'll help some of you beauties in your search for the perfect product - fingers crossed!

I'm not a huge makeup person as I've mentioned before, but one thing I really do appreciate is a comfortable lip product.  I love a natural pop - usually nothing too bold or flashy - and find that wearing a little bit helps boost my mood.  Plus, with the right formula I find I end up having a little moisturizing treatment as an added bonus!

Madara Glossy Venom Hydrating Lip Gloss - Hi Shine

I've been keen to try the Madara makeup ever since it launched, as so many of the products in the lineup looked so stunning.  I finally decided to pick up one of the glosses in my last Love Lula haul, and oh my goodness am I happy I did!

The Hi Shine shade is basically a transparent shimmer gloss that has a glossy finish.  But that makes it sound pretty simple, and this vegan friendly formula is anything but...  There are tiny iridescent pigments (primarily peachy pinks and lilac) captured within this nourishing treatment, and it brings attention to your lips with its pretty sparkle  Don't get me wrong, this isn't a glitter gloss that makes you look like you had a run in with a disco ball.  The lippy makes your lips look so pretty without being over the top, and it acts almost like a highlight, drawing the focus to your mouth and making your pout look fuller and more pronounced.  It's a real winner in my opinion!

Even the scent is nice, and if you've been around for a while you know that is usually my one issue with Madara goodies.  I often find them a bit overpowering or that they smell of plastic.  Not the case with the Glossy Venom gloss.  Rather, this has a semi-sweet and almost fruity aroma to it that is juicy and very appealing.

And the mix of natural oils and plant based waxes makes this feel so soft and luscious that I can't find a single fault in how it wears.  It's not sticky, it's not drying, and it's not underwhelming - Madara has really hit a home run with this lip gloss, and it's definitely become a fast favourite over the last few weeks.

Ingredients: Oryza Sativa (Rice) Powder, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Oil, Vegetable (Olus) Oil, Dodecane, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Wax, Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Wax, Rhus Succedanea (Wax Tree) Fruit Wax, Cellulose, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil*, Isoamyl Laurate, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Glycolipids, Magnesium Stearate, Ascorbyl Palmitate (Vitamin C), Aluminum Hydroxide, Argania Spinosa (Argan) Kernel Oil*, Nigella Sativa (Black Cumin) Seed Oil*, +/- [CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77499, CI 77491, CI 77492 (Iron Oxides)]** *Ingredients from Organic Farming **Pure mineral pigments 100% Natural origin of total

Saint Cosmetics Lip Gloss - Sex Kitten

One of the thicker glosses in my current lineup (and the only non VF one), Saint Cosmetics formula is super silky, pigmented, and packed full of soothing oils and butters.  This is a product for those looking for a hybrid between a gloss and a liquid lip, and you really can't go wrong with this!

I love the dusty pink shade, and find it goes with just about anything.  It's like the perfect Molly Ringwald match, but with added shimmer from the iridescent pigments.  The colour helps make your pout really pop, and I really like how it leaves a little trace of that sparkle hours later even after the pink itself has worn away.

Again, this isn't super sticky which makes it a success in my books, but it manages to have a slip to it that makes this really comfortable to wear and which brings moisture to your lips.  Like I said though, it is on the thicker side, so if you like a lightweight lippy this might not be the one for you.  I find that for winter and springtime it is a great pick for me personally, and I have really enjoyed this - so happy I picked a tube up from The Green Jungle Beauty Shop last year, and that I finally got around to using it!

Unfortunately this is no longer available as part of the Saint Cosmetics line as they relaunched their range with new packaging and products, but they do carry a new lip lacquer that looks pretty gorgeous!  But if you are super keen to try this, you can grab one of the last few here.

Ingredients: Organic Castor Oil, Caprylic/Capric Triglyceride, Organic Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Organic Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Organic Cera Alba, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Glyceryl Caprylate, Olea Europaea (Olive) Fruit Oil, Hydrogenated Olive Oil, Olea Europaea (Olive) Oil Unsaponifiables, Vanillin, Tocopherol, Gamma Decalactone, Gamma Octalactone, Ethyl Butyrate, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract. May Contain (+/-): Iron Oxides, Mica, Titanium Dioxide.

Sappho New Paradigm Organic Lip Gloss - Hazey

The last of my lipgloss picks (for now!), but by no means the least - Sappho has really impressed me with this organic formula, and I have already decided I need to check out more of their range in future!  I snapped this beauty up recently in my House of Green Beauty Order (any Nini lovers out there know all about this fab shop!), and I have been obsessing over it ever since.

This vegan lippy is smoother than any other pigmented gloss I have tried, and it glides across your mouth so easily that you will just want to keep applying throughout the day because it feels so lovely.  Seriously, it's so soft and silky!  And beyond that, the blend of castor, coconut, and jojoba oil with plant waxes, shea butter, and cacao butter makes this a surprisingly intensive moisture boost that leaves your lips feeling totally restored, PLUS there is a hint of mint that provides an energy boost and a bit of a plumping sensation which is absolutely stellar.

Hazey is not as bold a colour as others, but I actually prefer that - I am not super keen on glosses with tons of pigment, as I want a more neutral and subtle look from this type of product usually.  But that being said, the shade is beautiful and I love how it just spruces up my natural colouring and makes my mouth look that little bit more full.  This is the lippy I go for if I want a bit of shine but no shimmer (no iridescent glow to this one - it's a pure pigmented gloss), and I think the gentle rosy tone is perfect for everyday.  It's no wonder this has become a staple for me in my makeup routine already!

Ingredients: Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil*, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*,Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, Jojoba Esters, Silica, Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax*,Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter)*, Theobroma Cacao (Cacao) Seed Butter*,Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil*,Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Peel Oil*,Tocopherol, Ctmbopogon (Lemon Grass) Oil*, Stevia Rebaudiana (Sweetleaf) Extract, Mentha Piperita (Peppermint) Oil*.May Contain: Titanium Dioxide, CI77491, CI77499, CI77492, and Manganese Violet. *Certified Organic Ingredient.

Sarya Organic Lip Laquer - Crush

Sarya is another brand that has been on my radar for a while, as I have been meaning to explore the range further ever since trying out their eyeshadow last year.  And I finally picked up one of the products that caught my eye - the organic lip laquer!  There are actually three shades available, all of which look super wearable, but I was drawn to Crush as it looked the most like what I usually wear (I'm predictable when it comes to shade choices it seems!).

Crush is a dusty rose shade that has a hint of pastel perfection to it, and I love how smooth this goes on.  No patchy areas, just the pigmented pink that is silky yet long lasting.  This is another great hybrid between a hydrating serum-like formula and a liquid lipstick, and I find it is what I reach for when I want the light and comfortable feeling of a gloss but am also looking for the finish of a more solid product.  Sarya has really created a creamy lippy that can make anyone happy!

And the vegan friendly laquer has a lot to make you smile - natural ingredients, waterless, and full of organic ingredients, as well as nourishing, non-sticky, and did I mention beautiful??  Sarya has won me over with this formulation, and I'm already eyeing up what I might want to pick up next... I'm super tempted to try the lip elixir oil- what do you think??

PHB Organic Rosehip Demi-Matte Lipstick - Bliss

You all know I'm a big fan of PHB products, especially their vegan friendly makeup line, but even my existing love of this natural beauty brand couldn't have prepared me for just how good their new release would be.  The Organic Rosehip Demi-Matte Lipstick is exactly what I needed and didn't know I was looking for in a lippy - smooth, healing, buttery, pigmented, and wearable.  This little tube does it all!

The Demi-Matte formula contains nourishing oils and butters like castor seed, shea, jojoba, meadowfoam, and rosehip, making this a soothing and protecting treatment like no other.  I find the consistency is really soft, and the lipstick spreads easily and evenly across your mouth without any fuss which is great.  These are definitely more malleable than the normal formulas from PHB (though I really like those too!), and I was a bit worried at first that the colour would wear off immediately because of how creamy it felt -- but nope!  The pigment is great AND it stays on!  There is a bit of transfer to glasses, but hours later I still had the lovely light pink tinging my lips.

Bliss is a great match for my natural lip colour, and while it is not super noticeable on me I actually really like that.  I usually just want a little pop or enhancement rather than anything too crazy from lipstick, especially right now when I'm not really leaving my house, so the more neutral tone is perfect for me.  I can feel more put together and have just a touch of colour, plus benefit from the lovely ingredients too!

Ingredients: *Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, *Butyrospermum Parkii Fruit (Shea) Butter, *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, *Rosa Canina (Rosehip) Seed Oil, Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax, *Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, Mica, Tocopherol (Vitamin E), Citrus Mandarin (Tangerine) Essential Oil, CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide), CI 77491 (Iron Oxide), May Contain: CI 77742 (Manganese Violet)

RMS Wild with Desire Lipstick - Unmistakable

I talked about this lipstick set recently when I was sharing my thoughts on the RMS makeup line, and today the Wild with Desire lippy will be in the spotlight once more because I have been reaching for the shade Unmistakable so much lately!

Unmistakable is a nude shade that has a light beige tone that works really well with my skin tone.  I often find nudes really wash me out or end up looking silly on me, but RMS has created a colour that actually works with my pale complexion and red hair.  I like how neutral this is, and I have been loving the richer texture of the formula on days where I do not want to do any touch ups.  This is definitely one of the longer lasting products in my top picks right now, and the pigment and satin finish never fails to impress me.

While this is not vegan (as it contains beeswax), it is natural, organic, and of course cruelty free, and I really like how the blend of oils, waxes, and butters protects my lips and doesn't leave them feeling dried out at all.  And while the Wild with Desire definitely are not 'kiss proof,' I find Unmistakable has far less movement than the others.  For someone who drinks a lot of coffee and is guzzling water throughout the day, the fact that the shade withstands all the sipping despite a bit of transfer is a huge plus.

Ingredients: *Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Ethylhexyl Hydroxystearate, Cera Alba (Beeswax)(Cire d'abeille), Sucrose Acetate Isobutyrate, Kaolin, *Candelilla Cera (Euphorbia Cerifera (Candelilla) Wax) (Cire de candelilla), Hydrogenated Castor Oil, *Cera Carnauba (Copernicia Cerifera (Carnauba) Wax) (Cire de carnauba), *Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Silica, Tocopherol, Isostearyl Palmitate, *Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Cetyl Alcohol, *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, *Hypericum Perforatum Extract, *Equisetum Arvense Extract, *Calendula Officinalis Extract, *Hemidesmus Indicus Root Extract, *Curcuma Longa (Turmeric) Leaf Extract, *Withania Somnifera Root Powder, *Glycyrrhiza Glabra (Licorice) Leaf Extract, *Olea Europaea (Olive) Leaf Extract, Lecithin, Propanediol, Pentylene glycol, *Oryza Sativa (Rice) Bran Wax, Propylene Carbonate, Limnanthes Alba (Meadowfoam) Seed Oil, **Mauritia Flexuosa (Buriti) Fruit Oil. May Contain [-/+]: Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891), Red 6 (CI 15850), Red 7 (CI 15850), Red 28 (CI 45410), Yellow 5 (CI 19140), Blue 1 (CI 42090) * CERTIFIED ORGANIC ** WILDCRAFTED

RMS Wild With Desire Lipstick Unmistakable Review

Of course there are more lovely lippies I'm loving, but right now I am being drawn to these hydrating and comfortable formulas over and over again - they're just so perfect for everyday wear, and I don't feel silly applying them throughout the day.  Each on is so subtle, and provides a moisturizing boost that really soothes my dry lips.  Plus, I immediately feel extra cute which is a huge perk right now as I spend 99% of my time in pajamas!

I would love to hear what products are making you feel good, and if you have any natural lipsticks, glosses, or tints that you suggest I try out - I'm especially keen to find some zero waste alternatives as it seems tricky to find plastic free ones.  Leave me a comment below, even if it is just to say hi!  It would be lovely to hear from you beauties xx

  2. I'm not a huge make up person either, however, I do find that I need to wear lip balm or gloss to stop my lips from drying out. I like the different colours that are available.
