The Power of Four - Inner Senses Face Oil Review

You all know I love Inner Senses, and today I will be spending some much deserved time reviewing the face oil collection!

Inner Senses currently offers four face oils: Deep Blue C, Reset, Glow, and Raspberry Rose.  While each of these organic, vegan, and all natural creations offers their own special skillset and targeted benefits, I have been pleased to find each suitable for my fussy, congestion prone skin!  No matter the weather, I know I can trust on Inner Senses to give me what my skin needs.

Inner Senses Review:

Time to break down each of the four treatments, and offer some insight into how each performs, smells, and feels!  Check it out...

Glow Facial Oil:
Glow is an oil you can rock all year long, and is one of the most versatile products from Inner Senses face collection.  Just looking at the stunning colour you know you're in for a treat.

This is a fab oil that you can use night or day, and I have to say this beauty is perfect for whatever life throws your way: wind, rain, heatwave... You name it, and this formula will soothe, protect, and keep your skin glowing through it all!

Light enough to work as a primer, yet moisturizing enough to deliver what your skin needs, this is "a nourishing and rejuvenating skin superfood, packed with organic nutrients and the beautiful aroma of Orange Flowers."  With star ingredients like pumpkin, argan, hemp, rosehip, borage, and avocado, this all natural treatment offers the benefits of rich oils without any of the slickness of a highly conditioning product.

Inner Senses Glow Face Oil Review

And because of this, I especially love Glow during the summer months when I struggle more with finding suitable formulas for warm weather.  When it is humid and hot, I find my face becomes more prone to spots and just cannot handle skincare that is even remotely heavy.  I have to ditch most of my tried and true products that work for me at other times of the year and transition to lighter creations.  But Glow is one that I can trust though no matter the season.  This formula keeps my skin looking and feeling healthy without being too heavy, and I adore the luminous quality it gives my face.  It's just perfect, especially with the gorgeous scent adding such cheer to the moment.

Glow has a lovely sweet citrus scent that is uplifting and helps promote a positive energy.  The gorgeously balanced neroli flower oil gives this product the ability to instantly calm my mind, and I love how it helps reduce anxieties.  I breathe in the aroma and let some of the day's stresses slide away, and replace them instead with hopeful thoughts.

The beautiful smell is just one of the reasons why this is a great year-round treatment, and I have actually just picked up another bottle so I can have a gentle, easily absorbed oil for days I'm wanting an extra lightweight yet dewy finish.  Glow is perfect for restoring radiance, and it is no wonder so many customers consider this to be a holy grail in their skincare routine!

Deep Blue C Facial Oil:
Deep Blue C is a total hero when it comes to problem skin.  I adore this formulation, especially when my fussy skin is rejecting most other products, and I find it really helps my face find the balance it needs.

Not clued into the beauty of this facial oil yet?? Well, for starters it's Winner of Best Facial Oil (Ages 40+) in 2019's Beauty Shortlist Awards!  And it won a spot in my top facial product picks of 2020 because it has wowed me so much since I initially had the joy of discovering it.

Inner Senses Deep Blue C Face Oil Review

Inner Senses Deep Blue C Face Oil Review

This 97.5% organic facial oil was designed to treat problematic skin, be it spotty, congestion prone, irritated, sensitive, or inflamed, and it does this by utilizing naturally antiseptic and healing ingredients.  With blue tansy, blue chamomile, and blue yarrow, all of which help calm irritation and provide much needed anti-inflammatory properties, this formula has some real heroes for blemish prone and sensitive skin.  I love how this works as a preventative measure against acne, as it maintains order and fights to manage congestion - when I use this regularly, my face is smoother, clearer, and much more even in terms of my complexion.  Plus, it helps moisturize my skin and leaves it feeling less tight!

In terms of aroma, Deep Blue C has a deep, earthy, slightly sweet, medicinal scent which I find very grounding.  I breathe in the aroma before beginning to apply, and this helps me reconnect with my surroundings and let a bit of my daily stresses slip away.  It's truly a great way to start and end the day.

I found my skin loves this oil, especially when it is having a spotty flair up but still need a punch of moisture.  I admit I was worried at first that regular use might prove to be too much for my fussy skin, but it actually helped with my hormonal spots and gave my face a radiant glow.   So while it is incredibly nourishing, I did not find it overly heavy at all - in fact, it absorbs fully and does not leave your face looking shiny at all, making it a great face oil day or night!  And as you know, I am under 40 by a fair margin, so even if you are not in the age range this oil is worth giving a go!

Ingredients: *Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) seed oil, *Adansonia Digitata (Baobab) seed oil, *Nigella Sativa (Black Cumin) seed oil, *Prunica Granatum (Pomegranate) seed oil, *Opuntia Ficus Indica (Prickly Pear) seed oil, *Cucurbita Pepo (Pumpkin) seed oil, *Calophyllum Inophyllum (Tamanu) seed oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E/non-GMO), Tanacetum Annuum (Blue Tansy) flower oil, *Achillea Millefolium (Yarrow Blue) oil, *Chamomilla Recutita (German Chamomile) flower oil, *Helichrysum Italicum (Helicrysum) flower oil, Curcuma Xanthorrhiza (Turmeric) root CO2 extract, Lycopersicum Esculentum Mill (Tomato) leaf extract, *Calendula Officinalis (Calendula) flower CO2 extract † Linalool, Limonene, Geraniol, Eugenol, Citronellol * Organic origin † Naturally present in essential oils

Reset Vibrancy Facial Oil:
Noticing your face is stressed, unbalanced, dull, or lacklustre?  Then Reset is the perfect daily treatment for you!

"Reset is an advanced formulation to support the skin in fighting the effects of pollutants and stress," and it is packed full of skin loving ingredients.  From Schisandra fruit CO2 extract (a powerful adaptogen renowned throughout Chinese Medicine for centuries for increasing resistance to stress) to antioxidant rich oils like strawberry, moringa, and prickly pear - Reset is expertly crafted to address signs of ageing, oxidative damage, and dull complexions.

Inner Senses Reset Face Oil Review

I find Reset is brilliant for times when my face is looking dull and needs a total reboot.  The rich oil sinks in well and works to rejuvenate my skin without leaving any slick or greasy residue.  I love how deeply nourishing and restoring this is, and I find that when I use Reset in my evening lineup, leaving it to work its magic overnight, I wake up with restored radiance and super soft skin.  Or, if I am needing some extra TLC during the day, a drop or two added to my moisturizer really boosts my routine!

The Reset Vibrancy Facial Oil is also a great option for those times when your face is clearly stressed out or experiencing sensitivity.  I find myself turning to this treatment when my skin cannot handle a full routine or when something has triggered a flare up.  Despite the lovely aroma, a juicy and oh so slightly fruity scent that is simultaneously warming and fresh, this formula does not contain any potential fragrance irritants (so no limonene, linalool, eugenol, etc...) - this means the treatment is especially gentle and is a great option for those times you need the most delicate healing touch.  You can rely on Reset to calm your face and restore it to its previous condition, and you will continue to get the deeply moisturizing benefits without any further inflammation or irritation.

This softening, soothing oil is a great way to plump up skin, restore a lovely radiance to your complexion, and combat sensitivity, and I cannot recommend it enough.  This is a formula that pairs well with others, so if there is a particular area of your face that needs some extra care you can gently massage in and let Inner Senses reset your skin.  What more could you ask for??

Ingredients: *Camellia Oleifera (Camellia) Seed Oil, *Moringa Oleifera (Moringa) seed oil,  *Opuntia Ficus Indica (Prickly Pear) seed oil, *Rosa Canina (Rosehip) seed oil, *Cucumis Sativus (Cucumber) oil, *Fragaria Ananassa (Strawberry) seed oil, *Solanum Lycopersicum (Tomato) seed oil,  *Adansonia Digitata (Baobab) seed oil, *Salvia Hispanica (Chia) seed oil, *Prunica Granatum (Pomegranate) seed oil, *Nigella Sativa (Black Cumin) seed oil, Tocopherol (Vitamin E/non-GMO), Schisandra Sphenanthera (Schisandra) fruit CO2 extract, Daucus Carota (Carrot) seed CO2 extract, Squalane (Olive derived), *Rosemarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) leaf CO2 extract

Raspberry Rose Replenishing Facial Oil:
Raspberry Rose, the newest oil to join the line-up, was redesigned so it presented even further benefits for both skin and senses.  And you can tell how much work went into perfecting this product from the very first drop.

Rich, but not weighed down.  Gentle, but oh so healing.  Vibrant, but luscious and sumptuous.  That's Raspberry Rose Replenishing Facial Oil in a nutshell!

Inner Senses Raspberry Rose Face Oil Review

Inner Senses Raspberry Rose Face Oil Review

The formula offers a dual delivery of protective Raspberry derived from both the leaves and seeds, and organic nutrients to protect, nourish, revitalise & moisturise skin which is dry, ageing, tired, damaged or exposed to the elements.  It's such a replenishing facial treatment, and it comes with a whole host of benefits!

"Raspberry seed oil (Rubus idaeus) is a beautiful and extremely therapeutic key component of Raspberry Rose, providing the highest SPF of any vegetable oil. This is not suitable for use as a sunscreen but acts as a natural protection against both UVA and UVB rays. It can be applied beneath a traditional sunscreen to boosts its effect whilst moisturising, smoothing and increasing elasticity in the skin.

In one study*, Raspberry seed oil was found to effect UVA + UVB protection similar to titanium dioxide with a 28-50 SPF protection factor against UVB rays and 8 SPF against UVA rays, in addition to absorbance in the UV-C range with potential for use as a broad spectrum UV protectant."

Along with all the wonderful skin benefits, Raspberry Rose combines the headiness of damascan rose with crisp raspberry seed oil. It's fresh, floral, and with that hint of sweet earthiness that really pulls everything together.  I love breathing in the excess oil and letting the aroma wash over me.  It's both grounding and inspires positive thinking, almost hinting at the good things to come.  It's a great contrast, and I love incorporating this smell into my day.

Plus, this creation is such a nourishing, healing formula, bursting with gorgeous ingredients (including hemp, black cumin, and avocado!), and I'm finding it perfect for the colder weather.  It's keeping my face so soothed and protecting it from the cold, dry air, and I really see this as a seasonal skin savior.  Raspberry Rose offers the necessary support during winter, but I also think this will prove incredibly healing after sun exposure come summertime.  To me, this is the most intensively nourishing oil in the Inner Senses face collection lineup, and it is perfect for anyone needing a nutrient dense treatment rich in fatty acids.
