Inika Vegan Lipstick Review: Naked Kisses

Inika Naked Kisses Lipstick open

I have been lucky enough to try out other Inika lipstick shades in the past (Flushed being one I am currently using!), so I was over the moon to receive another colour in this month's Love Lula beauty box.  Naked Kisses is a natural mauve/pink with a fair amount of shimmer to it -- and absolutely no animal products to be found!  This lipstick range is the world's first to not only be 100% organic, but also cruelty free (and it holds the certifications to prove it!). An added bonus: the packaging is seriously lush!

While not perfect for dry lips (it does catch on dry patches which can be pretty noticeable), the product itself feels quite nourishing and doesn't dehydrate your skin like a lot of other traditional lipsticks on the market.  The formula has both shea butter and jojoba oil, along with several other moisturizing oils.  A huge plus in my book!

I put this lipstick through some rigorous testing (by which I mean I drank a LOT of coffee and then had a cheeky takeaway!) and while it didn't stand up as much as I would have hoped, it did last through the evening.  I noticed some transfer right away on my coffee mug, but after that the rest seemed to dry onto my lips quite nicely.  And to be fair, you could still see the shimmer long after I was done gorging myself.

This shade seems the perfect choice for autumn, as it gives a nice, natural pop of colour, and the creamy application and hydrating qualities definitely bump this up to one of my top choices for the cold weather.  I can't wait to try out some looks with this -- stay posted!

If you would like to grab Naked Kisses for yourself, or would like to check out the rest of Inika's range, head over to Love Lula now -- you can pick up one of seven shades here.  Or, check out their full lineup of vegan friendly products over on their website!
